Camera Day
An annual observance, celebrated on 29 June, dedicated to the art and technology of photography. It serves as an opportunity to appreciate the camera as a tool that captures our most important memories and documents the world around us. Beyond the technical skill of taking pictures, the day encourages people to explore their creativity by looking at their surroundings from new perspectives. It is a time to reflect on how photography has changed the way we share our lives and communicate with one another, reminding us of the power that a single image has to tell a story.
Speaking Discussion
- Is an experience still real if you don't take a photo of it?
- Should it be illegal to film people in public without their permission, even for art?
- Why do we feel the need to document every meal, every sunset, and every smile?
- Is privacy a human right or a 20th-century luxury that we can no longer afford?
- If you could delete every photo of yourself from the internet, would you do it?
