Transgender Day of Visibility
March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of the work still needed to achieve trans equality. Founded in 2009 by activist Rachel Crandall, it shifted the focus from tragedy to visibility and joy. This lesson explores the power of being seen—why is visibility the first step to equality, and how can we build more inclusive communities?
