Human Solidarity Day

International Human Solidarity Day is observed annually on December 20th, after being introduced by the UN General Assembly in 2005. Today, we debate the power of collective action, the one world concept, and whether national interests should ever come before global solidarity. How can we find common ground in a world of diverse cultures and conflicting interests? Is global solidarity truly possible?
