Unit 8: Dirty Talk

Adverbs of Manner & Bedroom Etiquette

💋 Communication is key, darling.

You’ve finally made it to the bedroom. Congratulations! But now you actually have to communicate what you want. Do you like things done slowly or quickly? Do you want them to whisper softly, or are you hoping they do it roughly? To master the fine art of dirty talk without ruining the mood, you need to use Adverbs of Manner to describe exactly how the action should happen.

2. Grammar Mechanics: Tell Me How You Like It

Adjectives describe things (He is a slow kisser). Adverbs describe actions (He kisses slowly). To make a regular adverb of manner, just add -ly to the adjective. But beware of the irregulars—they don't play by the rules!

Rule Adjective âž” Adverb Cheeky Example
Standard (+ ly) Slow âž” Slowly
Quiet âž” Quietly
"Take my shirt off slowly."
Ends in -y (change to -ily) Noisy âž” Noisily
Easy âž” Easily
"He breathed noisily in my ear."
🚨 Irregulars (Memorize these!) Good ➔ Well
Fast âž” Fast
Hard âž” Hard
"He did it very well."
(Never say "He pushed hardly." 'Hardly' means 'barely at all'!)
