Law enforcement agencies are constantly adapting to combat modern crime, but absolutely nothing could have prepared the British border force for their most recent revelation. Late on a foggy Tuesday night, coastal radar systems detected multiple low-flying, nimble objects crossing the English Channel from northern France towards the Kent coastline. Assuming it was a highly organised narcotics operation, officers quickly deployed their interception teams to catch the criminals red-handed.
Instead of finding hardened criminals armed with dangerous weapons, the police stumbled upon a highly bizarre culinary syndicate. Upon shining their powerful torches into the night sky, they discovered several heavy-duty, rumbling delivery drones. Strapped securely to the bottom of these expensive machines were hundreds of carefully wrapped wheels of extremely smelly, illegally unpasteurised French camembert and brie. The sheer absurdity of the racket left the seasoned officers completely speechless.
Due to strict post-Brexit agricultural regulations, importing certain types of unpasteurised dairy products into the UK has become incredibly complicated and expensive. This has inadvertently created a massive, highly rewarding black market for desperate cheese lovers who are willing to pay astronomical prices for their favourite after-dinner treats.
