International Day of Forests
March 21st was established by the UN to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests. Forests cover one-third of the Earth's land mass and are home to 80% of all terrestrial species. This lesson explores economy vs. ecology—can we have a modern world without destroying our trees? We explore the hidden power of forests and why they are the lungs of our planet.
