Monkeys Steal Vintage Ferrari in Gibraltar: Joyride Ends in Chaos

The wild monkeys of Gibraltar are globally famous for aggressively stealing tourists' sandwiches and shiny sunglasses. However, they recently decided to upgrade their ambitions.

A wealthy British tourist recently drove his beautifully restored, bright red vintage Ferrari to the famous Rock of Gibraltar, hoping to enjoy the spectacular Mediterranean views. He parked the opulent vehicle near a popular scenic viewpoint and stepped out for a brief moment to take a photograph, foolishly leaving the convertible roof completely down. This simple oversight proved to be a massive mistake, as a large troop of wild Barbary macaques was quietly watching from the nearby trees.

Within seconds, five monkeys leaped out of the trees and landed directly inside the expensive Italian sports car. While most of the primates were simply bouncing happily on the leather seats, one particularly large male monkey immediately grabbed the steering wheel. Unaware of the screaming owner, the monkey accidentally pulled the handbrake and slammed its foot onto the dashboard, causing the heavy vehicle to slowly roll forward down the slight incline.

Tourists scattered in absolute terror, trying to escape the havoc as the driverless Ferrari, currently occupied by five enthusiastic macaques, rolled silently through the crowded car park. The scene was incredibly chaotic. The screaming monkeys seemed highly entertained by the moving vehicle, aggressively honking the horn and violently throwing expensive driving gloves out of the window. "They are highly intelligent primates, but their driving skills leave a lot to be desired," joked a local wildlife ranger.

"It was absolutely comical," explained a German tourist who managed to capture the entire incident on her mobile phone. "The owner was sprinting desperately behind the car, yelling in English, while the monkeys were literally steering it towards a local café. I have never seen an animal look so deeply proud of itself while breaking the law!"

Fortunately, the bizarre commotion ended relatively safely when the Ferrari gently bumped into a low stone wall, abruptly stopping the joyride without causing any major damage. The angry owner finally reached the vehicle and waved his jacket to frighten the monkeys away, who simply retreated back to the trees to proudly admire their work.

The local police were officially called to the scene but didn't know how to write the official incident report, as you cannot technically arrest a wild primate for grand theft auto. The viral video has since made the animal an absolute internet legend.
