International Day of Education
The education of desire. For adults, this day is a debate on social conditioning and the invisible lessons we learn. We explore whether our schools are factories for workers or gardens for thinkers, and how our desires (for status, money, or love) are educated by the culture around us.
Speaking Discussion
- Who educated your desires? Was it your parents, your teachers, or the advertisements you see every day?
- Is the modern university system a path to enlightenment or just a very expensive debt trap?
- What is the one invisible lesson you learned in school that you now have to un-learn as an adult?
- Should emotional intelligence and financial literacy be more important than History or Math?
- If you were the minister of life, what is the first thing you would teach adults to help them be happier?
