Football and English

There are two international languages in this world: English and football.

So why not put them together and talk about something you love — the beautiful game?

I offer online Skype and Zoom lessons focused entirely on football (soccer, calcio — whatever you call it!). These sessions are designed to build natural fluency through real conversation about the sport you follow, watch, and enjoy.

Of course, I’ll correct mistakes along the way, but the main goal is speaking fluency. Each lesson is 60 minutes and follows a clear, fun structure.

A Sample Football English Lesson

Part 1: We look at some of the weekend’s results and talk about them.

Part 2: We talk about your first football boots and the boots you’ve owned over the years.

Part 3: We choose a team, player, or manager and share opinions, memories, and stories.

Part 4: We look ahead at the coming week’s fixtures and make predictions.

Important Information

• Lessons only take place during the football season (August–May).
• Minimum level: B1 (Intermediate).
• You must have a good general knowledge of world football.
