Walk on Your Wild Side Day
The breakout from the ordinary. This day is a psychological challenge to do something completely out of character. This lesson explores why we are so terrified of looking silly and how our professional reputation has become a prison that prevents us from truly being alive.
Speaking Discussion
- When was the last time you did something that scared you? Why did you do it?
- Is social judgement the most powerful invisible force in our lives?
- Should we encourage children to be weird rather than obedient?
- What is the one thing you would do if you knew for a fact that NOBODY would judge you?
- Is having a reputation a cage or a safety net?
Activity 1: The wild Planner
The Task: List 3 out of character actions you could take tomorrow (e.g., wearing a bright hat to a serious meeting). What is the fear and what is the reward for each?
Activity 2: Rapid Fire Debate
